FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE FEE?

The registration fee covers a team uniform. The weekly and monthly session fees cover the cost of the coach’s time and equipment being used for the sessions.

2. WHERE ARE THE PROGRAM SESSIONS?

Program training sessions will be held at the courtyard field at The Village in Brasilito (located at the entrance to the Costa Rica International Academy). The 5-8 and 8-12 year old teams will be traveling to nearby fields for scrimmages against other area children.

3. AS A PARENT OR GUARDIAN, CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE TRAINING SESSIONS?

All parents/guardians are encouraged to participate in the training sessions, especially for the U-8 group.  We will be doing some drills and games that will be fun for adults too!

4. CAN I LEAVE MY CHILD(REN) FOR THE DURATION OF THE SESSION?

We ask that parents/guardians stay nearby during the session.  Although there will be access to a bathroom, session leaders and volunteers will not be able to take a child to the bathroom or change a diaper.

5. ARE SHIN GUARDS NECESSARY?

Shin guards will not be necessary, but recommended for the U-10 and U-13 groups.

6. WHAT KIND OF SHOES SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?

Cleats or turf shoes are recommended. Trainers or sneakers with flat soles are not recommended.

7.  WHAT KIND OF CLOTHES SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?

Please dress your children in clothing you won’t mind getting dirty.  I also recommend that they bring a change of clothes.

8. IS TRANSPORTATION SERVICE PROVIDED TO/FROM THE TRAINING OR SCRIMMAGE SESSIONS?

We do not provide pick up or drop off services for the training or games. However, we do recommend that you arrange car pools with other parents in the group.
